May Makeover

I’m thankful that I don’t judge based on first impressions.
This chair was posted as “Pretty in Pink.” Eh, not so much...

The fabric was so awful that I stripped it off the night I brought it home.

The next night, I sanded down all the wood, primed it with a base coat of a soft aqua and topped it with grey paint  I sealed it with a wipe-on poly to add a soft sheen to the frame.

I reupholstered it and finished it off with some decorative trim. This was my first reupholstery project! It took some time to get it right, but it was worth it. With much hesitation, I posted it for sale.  At least it went to a good home.

  1. Simply beautiful transformation. The close up of the trim has me real excited for my soon to be recovered chairs.
